I was born in 1951 at Altamahaw, North Carolina. I graduated from Graham High School in 1970 at Graham, NC; and from the U.S. Air Force Community College in 1989.

I joined the Air Force in January 1971 at Raleigh, NC – to keep from being drafted and going to Vietnam!

The most memorable event that occurred to me in SEA was when the barracks I was in was hit by a rocket at Da Nang and Sgt. John O’Neil Rucker was killed……and I wasn’t!
